Low blood pressure

Low blood pressure and decreased heart rate indicate a person's hypotonic state. Low physicians consider the pressure to be less than 100/60.Hypotension catches equally often, both in young and old age. It can be physiological, and can be a symptom of pathological changes in the body. Among the factors, under the influence of which the lowered pressure develops, there can be causes of a very different nature.

Hypotension is not a disease

Physiological hypotension occurs mainly in healthy people. It is caused by hereditary predisposition or constitutional features of the body. Despite the low numbers of their blood pressure, people often do not make any visible complaints, they can perform any kind of mental and physical work of varying severity.

Low pressure is often found in the form of a physiological response to the stresses of athletes. Signs of low blood pressure also appear as a result of acclimatization of the body. In pathological conditions, low blood pressure and pulse develop in patients after craniocerebral trauma, vegetative-vascular dystonia, hypothyroidism of the thyroid gland and adrenal cortex, during the postoperative period, as well as in people who are weakened or suffer from chronic diseases.

Symptoms of hypotension

Patients complaining of low blood pressure have very diverse symptoms. In addition to the very low figures of arterial pressure, they are often disturbed by lethargy, sharp feelings of weakness and excessive fatigue in the morning, memory impairment, reduced efficiency. There is a feeling of mild dyspnea in a state of rest and pronounced severe shortness of breath while performing physical exertion. Edema of the lower extremities may also appear in the evening.

Most patients with hypotension have emotional instability, problems with sleep( insomnia at night and constant sleepiness during the day), decreased libido. Signs of low blood pressure are also expressed in a feeling of heaviness, heartburn, flatulence, constipation and frequent eruption, independent of food intake. Some patients are concerned about the pain in the heart, while others suffer from headaches.
