Acute bacterial cystitis

Disease of cystitis is associated with the inflammatory process of the mucosa and submucosal layer in the bladder. The possibility of obtaining such an infection and the subsequent disease of the urinary tract, to a greater extent, exposed children. There is no precise statistics on chronic or bacterial cystitis in Russia.

In medical practice, there are cases when the disease with cystitis is not recognized, although patients are being screened for the detection of urinary tract infection. Disease cystitis can occur in all children, at any age, regardless of the sex of the child. In infancy, both girls and boys are exposed to the disease equally. Girls of preschool primary school age get cystitis six times more often than their peers boys.

Symptoms of cystitis

This difference in the frequency of the disease is due to the physiology of the structure of the female body, in particular, the urethra has a shorter urethra, the vagina and anus is closer to the environment of the infection. All this accompanies the appearance of a gynecological disease of vulvovaginal and vulvovaganitis, which is due to hormonal and immunological disorders of the growing female body.

Acute bacterial cystitis has a peculiar dependence on the nature and form of the disease. Signs of frustration when urinating, indicate that acute cystitis has appeared in the child's body. Bacterial cystitis provokes the appearance of urge to urinate in the time interval, which reaches ten, twenty or thirty minutes. A severe inflammatory process provokes a frequency of urination. Such reflex excitability of the bladder is associated with the appearance of compression of the nerve end when the child has developed bacterial cystitis. In older children, pains in the lower abdomen can appear, and the suprapubic region with irradiation in the perineum is also subject to this. Conducting a survey with manipulation of palpation, as well as filling the bladder, will increase the course of pain. In boys, at the end of the process of urination, the pain in the penis becomes worse. In girls, this increase occurs in the urethra or in the bladder.

The more the pain syndrome manifests itself, the more spread the inflammatory process becomes. Clear signs of this proportional growth of the disease is the inability to retain urine, that is, spontaneous urination occurs, the discharge of droplets of fresh blood, which indicates the presence of terminal hematuria.

The process of the disease course

In early childhood, acute cystitis has no clear signs of the onset of the disease. Everything happens just like in other diseases, that is, there are signs of characteristic anxiety, accompanied by crying at the time of the process of urination, which begins to recur with a frequency of rapidity. The rapid spread of the microbial inflammatory process in the upper urinary tract, which is accompanied by fever and toxicosis, does not allow the rapid localization of the infectious process to children at an early age. In children at an older age, this symptomatology is not manifested, dysfunction of urination is insignificant. There is no fever, there are no signs of intoxication, all this is due to a peculiar feature of the blood supply of the submucosal and mucous layer in the bladder.

The emerging external urethral sphincter of the pelvic floor muscles, as a result of spasm, in children at an early age can provoke a reflex urinary retention, which is often accepted by medical specialists as acute renal failure. Eliminate the error may be the nitrogen excretory function of the kidney, in which there is no presence of any disturbance of its work. Older children can complain of the appearance of pain in the anus or perineum. The severity of the disease can increase with the adherence of pyelonephritis. Acute cystitis is accompanied by the presence in the urine of cells of the flat epithelium in large numbers.
